This weekend our instructor is away teaching at an event in Dublin!
It’s always valuable to train with other people, to look at how other styles and systems solve similar problems, and to cross-train so that we can break through our plateaus and also so that we don’t fall into an echo chamber in our local club or organisation.
One of the reasons that our club isn’t affiliated to any of the large karate organisations is that our priorities often differ. And that’s ok. It can all still be karate, and we can recognise good karate whenever and wherever we see it, even while following slightly paths towards slightly different goals.
We have some information on our website about our priorities and why we do things the way we do:
Maybe some of this will sound interesting to you, and maybe you would like to give it a go? Beginners and experienced karateka are both welcome.
